Context

Euclid is a mission of the European Space Agency’s (ESA) – see the Euclid Consortium page – with the goal of understanding why the expansion of the Universe is accelerating and the properties of the dark universe (the nature of dark energy). It is planned for launch at the end of 2020.

Description
The Astrophysics Group of the International School for Advanced Studies of Trieste (SISSA, Italy) is looking for a junior scientist willing to undertake a Post-Doc program on Large Scale Structure (LSS) and Cosmic Microwave Background Anisotropies (CMB).

The program is provided by the Italian Ministry of University and Research through the PRIN 2017 Grant and supports the preparatory work for the Euclid mission and specifically the Working Group investigating the Cross-Correlation between LSS and CMB. The junior scientist is expected to contribute in particular in the following areas:

– simulations of CMB gravitational lensing from LSS,
– construction and testing of Cross-Correlation estimators.

The program is strongly integrated within the institutions participating to the PRIN 2017 Grant and the Euclid Consortium,
